Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation is the provider named in the imprint. We answer questions about data protection at kontakt@leafcutteros.ai.

When you open the website

Your browser transmits technically necessary data to our server so that the page can be delivered. The host stores these details briefly in server logs:

• shortened IP address
• date and time of the request
• the address requested and the volume of data transferred
• browser type and operating system

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the site securely. The logs are deleted after a short time and are not combined with other data.

Hosting

The site runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. We have a data processing agreement with the provider under Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation. The servers are located in Germany.

Fonts

We serve the fonts Newsreader, Schibsted Grotesk and DM Mono from our own server. Your browser makes no connection to Google for them.

Cookies, analytics, embeds

We set no cookies, measure no behaviour and embed no content from third-party servers. There is therefore no consent banner either.

Getting in touch

If you write to us, we process your details in order to answer the enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. We keep the message for as long as the matter requires and delete it afterwards.

Waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we process your name and your email address, and optionally your organisation, your role and your message. We also automatically store a technical identifier for the entry, the point on the site from which you signed up, and the time of your consent and of the entry being created. We use these details to tell you about the launch of Leafcutter OS and to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The details are held in a database on our own server in Germany; the notification to our team about them also runs through our own mail server. No other provider gets to see them. We do not store an IP address; to limit repeated sign-ups we create a value for 24 hours that cannot be traced back, and it deletes itself afterwards, even if nobody signs up for a long time. The legal basis for that is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation; our legitimate interest lies in protecting the waitlist against mass sign-ups.

You can withdraw your consent at any time — a message to kontakt@leafcutteros.ai is enough, and we will delete your entry. At the latest when the purpose no longer applies, we delete it ourselves.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
